Retirement Assistant Administrator
POSITION SUMMARY
Assists in providing leadership for operations activities related to Everence Retirement Services (ERS), in the day-to-day administrative tasks of Everence annuities, Mennonite Retirement Trust (MRT), and as needed within the department.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
- Coordinate the onboarding of new ERS plans, facilitate communication between advisors and third-party providers, and maintain the day-to-day operation of existing ERS plans.
- Develop and maintain expertise in ERS products to assist clients and Everence consultants in how to establish accounts, complete enrollment materials, maintain accounts, and complete forms.
- Provide backup to the Life Administrator when necessary.
- Provide backup to OSJ support staff.
- Assist with day-to-day administrative tasks in MRT (e.g. approve surrenders, and provide customer service to participants, employers, and advisors).
- Assist in carrying out day-to-day administrative tasks for annuities (e.g. process new applications, run illustrations, process contributions, and distributions).
- Complete such other projects as assigned by the VP of Financial Services Operations.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education:
College Graduate
Experience:
Prior experience in the financial services industry or the area of retirement plans desired
Skills and Abilities:
- Background in retirement products and operations is desired, but not required
- Ability to take initiative; working independently, as well as in a team environment
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong written and oral communication skills, including the ability to read, understand, and communicate technical information clearly and simply
- Advanced proficiencies with Microsoft Office and ability to learn additional software programs
- Either possess or willingness to obtain professional retirement certifications
